i'm the kind of girl who wears all her silver jewelry at once, who likes to blow soap bubbles during business meetings, and who can rarely commit to a haircolor for longer than a month, unless it's out of sloth.

i'm seldom speechless except when i first get up. some people think this is a good thing and some do not. there is substantial journal spill-over from this trait. you've been warned.

i drove all the way across the US by myself on a four-month road trip, i'm inordinately proud of that fact, and i would do it again in a hot minute if i could. in retrospect, however, the last month of my magick-related vow of celibacy could've been better timed so as not to overlap with that trip. (sorry, colorado through illinois.)

as a girlfriend who should know once remarked, there are no innocent feathers in my home.

i love the moon in all Her faces, and i want to see fireflies again and am prepared to drive till i do (i looked it up: according to the encyclopedia they don't live west of the Rockies; this, of course, means road trip. but for me, there's not much that doesn't.)

i'm intensely loyal and steady as all hell for those i consider my friends, i am the friend who will stay up all night with you talking you down from that heartbreak place after bailing you out of jail for setting that girl's car on fire (assuming it wasn't mine...i have my limits, yo)

i'm also very much a gypsy sagittarius who drops in and out of 'real' life and consciously chooses irresponsibility and childishness under many circumstances. (mind you, childishness and not immaturity - there's a difference, as you probably know if we're friends.) i love skin and body art from henna to ink to steel*. i always have bookmarks in 3 books at the same time, but it won't be the same 3 books for long.

possibly these things are related, but the practice of honest polyamory* completely fascinates me.

i also read too much; people don't believe me when i say so, but i know it's true. i love me some books, y'all....science fiction, mystery, fantasy, historical, speculative fiction....the kinds of stuff Dark Carnival http://www.darkcarnival.com would sell.

i'm kinky in some pretty deep ways, and i don't choose to share the details with almost anyone i know. we aren't talking about my patent leather fetish here, although i suppose that qualifies as kink in some broader sense. i will say that one of my ambitions is to do voice-over work in anime porn - admittedly that ain't all that kinky, but it'll have to do for now. the rest is on a need-to-know basis.

i never met a jacuzzi** or a piece of dark chocolate i didn't like*.

oh, right, i should be talking about my journal here. right now, it's my way of combatting writing stage fright and extinguishing my daily mental chatter, while putting it all down somewhere in gruesome detail so i can go back in five years and realize how little much of it ended up mattering.
